Every drop of Tamdhu is exclusively matured in the finest Oloroso sherry casks, nothing less. No wood is better suited to mature our Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky. After 12 years the scarce sherry wood bears two great gifts: colour and taste. Nose: Rich and enticing, iced cinnamon rolls, orange boiled sweets, fresh sweet oak with raisins and the faint hint of mint. Palate: Silky texture that coats the mouth with banana, berry jam, malt biscuit and classic sherry oak depth. Finish: Pleasantly long and balanced with ground spice, dried fruit and soft Scottish tablet – finally unveiling the merest wisp of peat smoke. Tamdhu’s deep amber is developed by the cask, nothing more – and each drop owes its rich, complex taste to the wood it called home.
