A contemporary expression of cabernet sauvignon matured in French oak. A lovely counterpoint to the bolder, idiosyncratic, multi-regional, American oak matured Bin 707. A highly perfumed wine, varietally distinct, complex. Stylistically very different, finer and more textural the bolder, denser Bin 707. First vintage was 1973, however Bin 169 was not made again until 2008 when exceptional conditions allowed us to recreate the wine. Only released in exceptional vintages.
